Donald earned a Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge (1976) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Calgary (1981).  He has been a member of the Law Society of Alberta since 1982.  He also holds an Alberta Permanent Professional Teaching Certificate having had a previous career as a teacher.


Donald practices in a number of areas including corporate and commercial law, estate planning, estate administration, commercial and residential real estate and commercial leasing. As a parent of a child with developmental challenges, Donald has a special interest in estate planning for parents of children living with disabilities.


He enjoys meeting with people from all walks of life, exchanging ideas with them and helping them to resolve a variety of legal issues.  Donald has also been a sessional instructor at the Medicine Hat College and for Athabasca University in various law related subjects. He enjoys bicycling and playing guitar.
